Nominating Commission Seeks Applicants for Vacant Judiciary
Positions
The Judicial Nominating Commission has requested
that SABA GB notify its membership of two new postings to the
JNC website: one for the Appeals Court and one for the Land
Court. The application deadline for the Appeals Court vacancy
is April 15, 2011 and the application deadline for the Land
Court vacancy is April 8, 2011. The application and instructions
are available on the JNC website at http://www.mass.gov/jnc

SABANY
Foundation to Award 2011 Public Interest Fellowship
The 2011 SABANY Foundation fellowship applications
are now available! The SABANY Foundation plans to provide at
least two $4,000 grants to law students who will be working
in unpaid public-interest jobs in the New York area during the
summer of 2011. Learn

Completed
applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on
Friday, March 18, 2010.
SABANY annually awards fellowships to outstanding
law students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service
so that they may spend their summer working unpaid in the public
interest sector.
Fellowships are awarded either to law students
of South Asian descent working in an unpaid legal internship
or those spending at least ten weeks of the summer in an unpaid
legal internship focusing on the needs of the South Asian community.
