SABA GB

Annual Gala

The Annual Gala & Awards Dinner gathers nearly 200 attorneys, judges, and prominent business and community leaders to celebrate the organization and our members’ accomplishments during the past year. The 2021 SABA GB Annual Gala & Awards Event will be held virtually on November 4, 2021, from 6 pm to 8:30 p.m.  Attendees can register for the event by clicking here.

The multi-day program features a musical performance by the South Asian a capella troupe Penn Masala, and will recognize SABAGB members and winners of the SABAGB Public Interest Fellowship. On November 6, 2021 at 9 am, a virtual yoga class will be taught by SABAGB members Manmeet Desai and Anupama Pal. On November 7, 2021, chef Asha Gomez, author of "My Two Souths," will teach a virtual cooking class. Sponsors help fund SABA GB’s activities throughout the year.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Gurbir S. Grewal, who is currently Director of the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He was the first Sikh American attorney general in the United States, having served as Attorney General for the State of New Jersey between 2018 and 2021. He was also the first Sikh American County Prosecutor in the United States when serving as prosecutor for Bergen County, New Jersey.
